… god damn him all to hell … Just as I finally managed to get Souvenir of Canada from amazon.ca — which is only available in Canada, natch — I notice he’s published God Hates Japan … which — you guessed it — is only available in Japan. I can’t even find it on amazon.jp, which is a touch confusing, as the publishers, Kadokawa Shoten aren’t exactly a teeny tiny flybynight outfit … (incidentally, they publish Newtype and Newtype.com, a couple of my favourite Japanese culture magazines — also available in the States, but I’ve never gotten hold of a copy of Newtype USA, so can’t comment on it!)

Anyway, the Douglas “bastarding bastarding cheese muncher” Coupland thing … if anyone knows of anywhere importing it, I’d be interested to hear from you …

(ps: just looked up Newtype USA’s subscription rates for “international” plebs like me – US$165?! That’s £105! I can *buy* it cheaper from Forbidden Planet – el randomoso indeed …)
