I stumbled across a bizarre little new media project while reading up on the reasons why Transport for London and the London Underground has such a hard-on for PPP (Public Private Partnerships, née PFI under the Tories). It’s called Flux 2.0, and it needs Shockwave.

Basically, this ickle Shockwave applet goes off and fetches 16 random search strings from Google, and presents them underneath little stylized monitors. The search strings refresh every few seconds or so. If you click on a monitor, it takes that search string, and presents 16 results at a time under these little monitors, while filling all 16 screens with matching results from Google Images.
