Breakfast Is Serv… What The Hell Is THAT?

This has to be the most evil excuse for ‘breakfast’ ever served — the “Hungry Man All Day Breakfast” (yes, it’s American). You chuck it in the microwave, and out comes sausages, bacon, eggs, something called ‘home fries’ and pancakes.

Luckily, merkans get proper nutritional information on their munchies, something that’s only now becoming the norm over here … but to read the nutritional facts box on this selection of evil is incredible … the amount of sodium represents 87% of the recommended daily intake, the 64 grammes of fat 98% of daily intake, the 21g saturated fat 104%, and the killer (probably quite literally) is the 690mg of cholesterol, representing 231% of the recommended daily intake!

I’ve joked about some foods being ‘heart attacks in a bun/bag/box’, but this could really be it! Please someone, anyone, do not import this!

Tip o’ the hat to giblet.

  1. those “home fries” are hash browns (you know, ground up potatoes, glue ’em together into some shape, and fry). usually home fries are what you all call chips.

    — your friendly american.

  2. I hate to admit that it looks good, but it does. It’s the kind of breakfast my grandmother would serve: terribly unhealthy but delicious.

Fortunately for my heart, I only eat Cheerios for breakfast.

  3. thanks for that patti, i was thrown by the ooze the guy saw coming from the home fries which made me think they were something else, despite the initial visual connection to hash browns 🙂
