Looks like Jerry Goldsmith is doing a quick tour in March and May, doing two concerts in Japan (one in Yokohama, the other in Tokyo), two concerts in London (scroll down to March 19th), then wrapping up with three in Barcelona in May.

Anyone who knows anything about soundtracks will recognise the name. Jerry is responsible for some of the most anthemic scores in movie history … think In Like Flint, Planet of the Apes, Star Trek: The Motion Picture – the theme from which got used in Star Treks V, VIII, IX and X, and the Next Gen TV show, The Omen, Capricorn One, First Blood, Basic Instinct, L.A. Confidential, The Mummy, Air Force One … the list is just way too long (so just read the full list. Oh and he’s scored 5 out of 10 Star Trek movies.

So maybe as a pre-birthday treat to myself, I’ll grab a flight down to Heathrow and book myself a nice seat in the stalls … ahhh, bliss!
