Kilkenny in the dark is not fun to navigate round, especially with two really dodgy looking maps! We were rescued by Katherine, Sabrina’s friend in Kilkenny who was putting up with us our contact, guide, assistant, fixer, and general sorter-out of stuff. She took us to meet her partner Joe, who was hosting the Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday evening — the whole point of us being there in the first place — and their six year old Mark, who turned out to be a perfect partner-in-crime for Ellie ;)
