Here’s where I know I’m a nothing, a nobody. I watched Kill Bill, Vol. 1 at the cinema when it came out a year and a half ago. As soon as I could, I bought the DVD. After watching it both those times, I thought, “Jesus, what a cool flick”, but of course I had no direct way to feed that back to Quentin Tarantino or anyone else on the cast and crew.

Then I find myself reading a post by Kevin Smith about waiting in a trailer and watching Vols. 1 and 2. Put a Venn diagramme of Kevin’s barometer of movie goodness over mine, and I reckon there would be a pretty good match. Awed again by Kill Bill’s excellence, Kevin spits out the following into his blog:

“Vol. 1” ends, and Im so digging on it again that I call Quentin and leave him a message about how genius I feel the flick is.

Hang on, rewind that back … “I call Quentin …”

Bastard. :)
